Feeling punchy today

Well what can i say this weather is driving me mad ,  its been raining here nearly all night , and is still coming down , what a change from yesterday .
I made 2 cards last night ,  i wanted to play around with my punches , i havent had them out for ages ,  so i have a few Multi-Shape punches that i had bought a few years ago , so thought i would play with these , the first one i used i broke it , trying to punch through card that was too  thick, so my son clued it all back together for me and when it had dried this is what i made ,,, Oh i must tell you playing with the punches was an idea i got from a friend of mine called Lexie , we are mamebers of the same forum and she kindly gave the template for a 5x5 square easel card .

I used a topper from Hunkydory , backing paper is from stash , (ive had it that long dont know where i got it from now ) i stamped the greeting and made the flowers , there is a couple of rose buds the i bought from Wild Orchid craft supplies ,  .

Right here is the other one its basically using the same stuff but the punch is different , and all the flowers on this 1 are from wild orchid ...the topper another of Hunkydory.s  (note to self must stop buying and use what i have ) ..... Well i think thats it for now ,  as always thanks for dropping by , hope you call back soon ...have a nice day ,,, Hugs Sue xxx

Blue and white

What a beautiful day it is , its actually colder in the house than it is outside .  My son has just made me some breakfast , so i thought while i was sat scoffing it i would writeup this post .

I made this blue and white card early hours sunday , i really enjoyed doing this one ,  i got some new M Bossabilities folders and played around with one of them on the background of the card , its like a diamond shape so i put a pearl in the middle of all the shapes that were not covered with anything else . The ribbon i used is printable seam binding , the brads are from a set from Hot off the press , i made a hatpin to go through the middle of the ribbon , and all the rest are spellbinder shapes i cut and embossed on my Grand Caliber ,  so here is the pics i took of the card .....Hope you like it ..

As always please leave a comment and thanks for dropping by .

This card is going to be entered into the BirthdaySundaes blog challenge 46

Messing around with bolder colours

I am not sure if these work for me , i usually work with muted colours but i have recently been trying out darker colours ,  but i am still not quite sure if they are working for me or not .

I made a bronze and green card ,  i used my spellbinders as the topper , borders and flowers , then added embellishments to finish it off . I nearly forgot i made the hatpin that is on the card also ... It looks like minty caramel lol, i like the sound of it but as i said not sure about the look ,  but here it is ................the original is not as dark as the top picture ,  the colours in the bottom pic are more true but its glearing so i thought i would show both .

Let me know what you think ...... or tell me what you would have done different .....i really would like to know ..     Hugs Sue xxxx

Plain and simple card

Hiya ,  today i am going to enter this card into a blog challenge over at Cards GaloreChallenge Blog ,  the brief is plain and simple ,   so this is my take on that .....

I made a 5x5 easel card , punched the edges with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set . i dont know what patter it is as i dont have the card it came on anymore ......
The image and greeting is from HunkyDory , i was given as an xmas pressie by a very kind and good friend of mine ,  i just added some sparkly gems to finish it off .......

I hope its okay to enter as i have only entered 1 other challenge ,  i am aways scared of making a fool of myself ,  lol ... but there again whats new ?,    Lexie dont you dare comment on that last sentance lol....

I will be back later to add some more cards i have done over the last few days ,  so TTFN catch ya later ,   thanks for dropping by ,  and please do call again soon ....

A gift in Pink

Hiya all , hasnt it been lovely today , i have actually been sat out , with my coffee and mag today . I got washing done , dried outside, ironed and all put away before teatime ,  i am shattered now though .

Well last night i made this card from a tutorial on Christinas website ,  i did make loads of these as xmas gifts to family and friends and put either candles or chocolates in them , everyone said they were gorgeous , but this one is different because i used mainly spellbinders again .

I printed the image from the last new cd i bought Daisy and Friends ,  ilove the images on this cd ,  i did print lots of the digi images out to colour with my promarkers , but couldnt concentrate for long so used a coloured image instead . I made all the flowers with contrasting papers ,i used a half a doily and pleated it obviously used my spellbinders , and found a small metal tag in my stash with the words charmer on it and attached it to the ribbon with a brad , added pearls to decorate , the accetate has got a lovely gold flower and butterfly pattern printed on it . I will fill the box on the end with mini eggs for a friend for easter . I enjoyed making this card and think i will make some more in differnt colours and save fior family and friends for birthday cards /gift .

Well thats all for me today i am going to have a hot shower and relax awhile ,  so will brobaly be back tomorrow ...

Thanks for dropping by and please call again ....

Feeling a little blue

Feeling Blue....

Morning ,  well what a weekend i have had , really did too much the other day and was shattered all weekend ,  then my pc decided it had done too much and needed a break , so it was turned off and i got my laptop from my son , then last night son decided to have a look at pc only to find its the monitor that is playing up , keeps turning itself off , anyway fingers crossed it will start playing nice now .

I made this card on saturday early hours of the morning , i decided to go with the blue and white colours , and played about with my spellbinder shapes , cutting into them and joining them up with other shapes and this card is the result , i ruffled the ribbon but then realised i only had a 1and half inch piece of the ribbon left so threaded it through a cutout shape tand made a flower and stuck that on top with a pearl in the centre . The pearls around the card are from using cosmic shimmer glue and i threw some glitter at it and thought that was enough ., What do you think ?.

Pink N White

Hiya my blogging friends , firstly i would like to say thank you to all who have up until now left comments on my blog , they are very much appreciated .
Right down to business , i havent blogged for a few days i havent been well and was told to rest , but i have been trying to make a few cards while resting lol, so here is what i have done this week , inspired by Christina again .
so heres what i did , i made an 8x8 card blank from white card , i overlaped the join of the card at the front and ran the 2 inch join through my caliber using the bordability die and a cutting die, to get the fancy edge then glued the card together , on the right hand side i repeated the last steops so it was symetrical , i then took some pink card and did the same and matted that onto my bard base .I ran a thin strip of the pink card through the tiny hearts on the border and glued it into the back . I wanted to put a round doily on the front but the ones i had wasnt big enough so i got a big oval and cut it down to make it round and glued that into the middle of the card . I cut out pink and white foliage on my cameo , and cut flowers from a die and made them up , i painstakingly glued the hearts that popped out of the border die onto the corners , i cut some shaped from my parisian accent dies and placed those in the middle , stamped and embossed the top one with a greeting in white . Then was the fun bit placing the leaves and swirls and roses and pearls (hey i am also a poet and didnt know it lol) well thats it all done . I am really pleased with this one , the picture isnt very good , with it being so light i had to hold it up against the light from the window.
Thanks for dropping by and please do leave a comment , hope to be back soon .

Monday morning again

Hi everyone , well here we are another weekend over , the weather has been quite nice here this weekend but its turned really cold this morning , with a bit of a breeze blowing , just hope the snow keeps away .
I was tinkering about this weekend with an idea i got from a lovely lady called Christina from
www.card-making-magic.com she has given me so much inspiration this last few weeks since i came across her website and blog , and i am ever so grateful to her . I have totally changed my views on card making , i have come well out of my comfort zone and am now trying things i would never have believed i could do , and enjoying every minute of it .
In making these cards i am pushing myself to try and use all the tools and equipment i have spent a lot of money on over the years but have been pushed to one side cos i didnt really know what they were capable of doing , especially my spellbinders , and this weekend my stamps .
So here is a card i made on friday night , but i wasnt really sure about the colours , but my eldest son and brother said they liked it and i should post it and if i get bad feedback then i know i was right and they were wrong lol
I used cardstock from my stash folded in half made a a5 card , its a bronze shimmer cardstock i matted and layed some lemon and patterned paper from my stash , i cut some shapes with my spellbinders and stamped best wishes onto the top one , i made a tag inked the background with distress inks then stamped images from the Papermania Urban stamp set that i won from docrafts (these are a gorgeous set of stamps ) . To decorate i made some roses from co-ordinating paper and some flowers i put pearls inside added leaves i cut on my Cameo , and a ribbon . .............still not sure about this card but maybe you could tell me otherwise ......

I have been told that i have word verification on my blog , i have tried everything to turn it off but still its there , if anyone has any ideas please let me know ...

As always leave a comment please...

So here is another card ive made ,  i am quite pleased with the way it turned out , the colours are brown orange and cream , its all made with plain card that i have embossed and cut with different spellbinders ,  i made the roses from co-ordinating paper from my stash , and the leaves were cut on my Cameo , I coloured the ribbon with my promarkers to match , i think i will add some bling in the form of pearls then i think its done .

I really must try to post every day ,  but i have not been feeling too good ,  but have tried to keep my mind off it with a little crafting ,  i have moved out of my comfort zone and been messing around with my spellbinders , i have been watching a brilliant lady on vidoe show how to use the spellbinders to there fullest effects , she is marvalous check her out here ...
.http://www.card-making-magic.com/spellbinderspecial.html      . so i made this card following her instructions ,  with a little twist from me .  i love how its turned out and think i will give this to my sister for her birthday .

The card was made from silkart card , everything was cut from my spellbinder dies ,  i made the roses from paper to compliment the colours , and added ribbon , headpins, skeleton leaves,  and pearls from my stash .  The colours are burgandy and cream , the photo doesnt do it justice (have to get a new camera ) .

Thanks for dropping by ,  and please do leave a comment ,  good or bad they all help ....

Morning folks ,   well the snow has finally all gone ,  but its cold and windy here today  so make sure you keep warm wherever  you are .

I managed to make a couple of cards this weekend ,  this  one was made from an hunkydory shaped card blank , i found somne plain white embossed cards that i had had for ages but too flimsy for a card base so cut one up and layered that on top of the base card ,  i chalked some of the design to make it stand out a little more ,  then printed a topper from my Me To You cds and stuck that on foam pads , then used ribbons , fibres and gems to embellish it ,  also a butterfly , the greeting is from my stash .  I really like the muted colours of this card ........

Me To You card

I will add the others later i have to get on now ,  as we have some surveyers coming to look at the house today and feel i need to put some of my crafty stuff away tidy ,  i have only just got it so i know where it all is after Christmas tidy up ......

Will be back later so you all have a nice day ..

Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment ........
