Charlotte and Butterfly

Morning to all my blogging friends , and welcome to all my new followers x..

I saw this image and thought it was just gorgeous so had to buy it and several more from http://www.etsy.com/shop/MilkCoffee   there are some beautiful digi images on there and well worth a look .

I made this card last night , well there was nothing on tv and my sons had gone out so i made a mess of my living room and dining room while making this card lol.

I started with a plain white card blank , scored to make an a5 card , then matted the blue/green/red/and white flowers embossed and glittered card .

Then i embossed the aqua Tim Holtz cardstock, using the b side of the Mbossabilty  folder "Splendid" i coloured the dot in the middle of each daisy like flower with a red Promarker , and matted it onto the flowered card .

I cut the image using the largest of the Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles (i love this dye its so pretty ) i coloured the background to the dye with distress ink Fired Brick . The image is called Charlotte and butterfly , it was so easy to colour in using my Promarkers and Flexmarkers .

I added a Birthday Wishes greeting with a ribbon and gem to the top right hand corner ,and a couple of tiles at the bottom left 4 U ,  some lace down the right hand side , leaves i cut on my trusty friend Cameo , the red flower was bought from Ebay . I placed gems in Charlottes hair , down the body of the Butterfly , in in 3 of the corners round the image , and along the bottom of the embossed aqua cardstock just above the edge i cut with my Martha Stewert punch .

The inside of the card has been decorated to match the front , i used a greeting stamp from LOTV saying" Wishing you a Magical Birthday"

Lavender and Lace

First of all i would like to say a big thank you to my new followers and for all the lovely comments left for my cards , i really do appreciate them all ......

I was playing this afternoon and came up with this card , i have bought and been given quite a lot of lace just lately so thought it was about time i used it ..... this card is all shades of lilac/lavender.purples and cream .


The card base is cream  17.05 x17.05 i cut the scallop edge ., then mat a purple fancy edged card onto it , then added a decorative paper . The topper has been in my stash for awhile , i know i printed it out but not sure what cd its from .

I added a row of lace accross the bottom of the card and around the topper finished with faux pearls .
The flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid , Papermania and ebay . I cit leaves and flourishes out with Cameo , and edged it all with faux stitching .....

First Design Team Card

This post is for my first design team card for http://foreverfriendschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/no38-fortnightly-challenge.html
              The challenge this time is for anything goes , so please call over to the blog and join in with the chalenge , it really is fun and you never know you might win a prize .

Here is the card i made using an image from http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/   I used   my Do Craft Digital Designer software to build up a background from the Woodland Folk cd , it just fitted the two owl images from Stichybearstamps perfectly . I then printed out the topper ,coloured it with my Promarkers and added it to the background with foam tape . I finished the card off with faux stitching using a brown glitter pen , and a greeting  " Having A Hoot ". I mounted the whole thing onto an 8x8 card blank .....  

Fathers Day Card

Here i have a Fathers day card i made , i dont normally make these types of cards unless asked as i dont have anyone to give it to .

 I saw a card this shape on the net and thought it looked different and thought i would have a go at making one myself , so here it is , I was surprised how easy it was to make and i enjoyed making it ..





The papers i used were a freebie from Crafters Companion , the colours are really gorgeous , and i am sure i will use them often ......

 I have had to take quite a few pictures as it was a little difficult to show all sides of the card .

I started with an a4 card blank , scored at tri-fold , then cut a peice off each end from the top to the middle to make it slope . The fancy top was cut from another peice of card , i cut the fancy edge at the from by drawing around the largest of my Spellbinders label sixteen die , i had to draw the middle bit then move the die over to the edge and join up to get that shape .

I matted 2 lots of the paper onto the sides at the front added the greeting strips and guitars on the right side and small triangles spelling the word Dad on ther left side ....

The front top was matted also with 2 co-ordinated papers , then the image was added . I went around the edge with my pokie tool to make holes and used a Sakura pen so it looks like faux stitching , then the faux buttons were added , to which i threaded some string through the holes and tyed in a knot .

The middle of the card was finished off with papers that matched the front with a large topper , which i think is lovely , it says

Perfect DAD Recipe
1,  Good Listener
2, Great Advice
3,  Best Friend ......


With another greeting along the bottom .

Wedding Card and Box

 Morning all , hope you all had a lovely long lazy weekend .

I was asked last week to make a wedding card by  my sons friend, for his sister , i have only ever made 1 wedding card before so thought this would be a real challenge for me .
I wanted to make it all cream , and use my Cameo and Spellbinders , and after looking throu all my cut files i came up with this .

I also made a box and decorated that to go with the card . Its all made from cream pearlecant card i bought from The Paper Mill and to say its 300gsm the Cameo cut it perfectly , i was really pleased with the end result of the card and the box  . They were all made using my Cameo ,Spellbinders and printer , and a little gold foiling for the names .

Remember When ?.....

Here is a black and white card that i really enjoyed making , its rather plain for me , no flowers for a start lol.
The card base was made from HunkyDory cardstock i matted it with a black grey and white co-ordinating paper added a border to the left side , the topper at the top left has some bits of ribbon stuck to the edge (i dont through anything away lol) i added lace, a sentiment , glitter and faux gems . I also decorated the indide to match the front .

Here comes summer

Here is another card , i made this card to enter in the Crafters Companion blog challenge - here comes summer , i thought when i saw the toppers it really was summer for me .

I used  pearlescent cardstock for the base , then a pale blue paper , and added some scraps of pink,blu,and lemon cardstock all matted and layed , then i added the toppers that i think are HunkyDory (but not sure) onto foam pads and added them to card used lots of faux gems to to the front .

The inside was decorated with the same colours and the last of my scraps of card ......

Tagged again

Morning folks , well yesterday turned out to be another scorcher here , and today looks like its going to be the same . I thought i would get this Tag Card posted before i go food shopping , (i hate doing this ) .

I made this card on the same theory has the one i posted yesterday , for the base i used HunkyDory card cut the shape by hand , then added shape from my Spellbinder dies , that i embossed and inked faded jeans distress ink . I found some small bits of card and cut a circle and added it to the round heart shape , then added a sentiment using my LOTV stamps . I added ribbon and a bow to the top and finished that off with a flower . The other flowers i used were mainly from ebay , but there are the white flowers and small yellow rose buds that were bought from WOC . I finished it all off with some faux gems . I am really liking this type of card and can see many more in the future being made up .

Tag enjoy your special day

This Tag card , i made just because i havent tried making before , and i saw a challenge i would like to enter and you had to make a tag card or tag so here is mine .

I started by looking at my Spellbinder shapes , i found one i liked but it wasnt big enough so i made my own using the Silhouette Software and cut it out using my Cameo , both the blue layers were cut on the Cameo , the cream card between has been embossed then i tried to cut it to the shape of the base layer ( i think i got it pretty close ) . I added a double layer Butterfly i also cut on the Cameo , them diecut with my Spellbinders the leaves and the layers for the sentiment . I added blue and cream ribbon a pearl and flowers i bought from ebay . All in all i really like this , i enjoyed making it , so i made another which i will post when its all dry .......

Round and Round we go

Morning all , well the weather has changed this morning , its cooler here than it has been , but no rain yet ...

I made this card mainly using my Cameo , the pink card i used is fantastic for cutting with the Cameo , i bought it from create and craft its Bazzil Basics , i am so glad i ordered two lots , and it was my last order from them , i have let my subscribtions lapse i am fed up with there customer service and all the hassle , so not buying from them anymore .

The card is backed onto silver mirri board , i cut two lots of the mats , using cream and pink , and alternated them on the easel , so i have enough to make another card . the flowers i made up from a Martha Stewert punch , the image as you can see is a decoupage of Me to you Tatty Teddy , i added pearls , glitter and sentiments to finish it all off .......

Magical Birthday

This card i made as a result of designing  the border along the bottom and cutting it out with my Cameo . I took inspiration from a very talented lady called Debbie , here is her blog http://paperpulse.blogspot.co.uk/    I watched a video she made on how to make a decorative edge with the Silhouette software , and had to have ago  , so here it is .....

I used a few files i had in my library within the Silhouette software , i tweeked the files and added bits here and there and came up with what i think is a very pretty edge to my card . The card blank is an 8x8 tentfold , in dark puple , the designs were cut from a very pale lilac patterend paper , and i inked the edges . The big swirl around the top edge is a file that came free with my Cameo so i just resized it and cut it out . The images and flowers in lilac were from the MCS cds Quintisential , i love this cd , i resized and colour co-ordinated them to match the card , the sentiment at the top right is a stamp from LOTV and matted onto a spellbinder shape . I added some leaves and a big flower , also some glitter and gems to finish off the front .

The inside is also decorated has you can see ...

All the pinks and a free stamp

This card was made using a cutting file from my Silhouette library that i tweaked to come up with the card base , which is a Hunky dory card , i then used a punch to make the holes around the edge of the design . The pink triangle shaped paper is from Hot off the press paper pack . The mat the stamp is sitting on is another cutting file and i inked the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink . The greeting is from LOTV  and is sitting on a spellbinder shape , the flowers are from Wild Orchid . The image is from a stamp set i got free with my monthly mag Simply cards and Papercraft , called Teddy Bo and Co , for a free stamp set i think it has got to be one of the best and i think i will be using it lots , i coloured the image with my promarkers , and finished the card off with faux pearls and a pink bow .

Not blogged for awhile

Hiya fellow bloggers , i havent been around for awhile as i have been feeling really low , and not really been able to concentrate on anything , but i made myself make a card up today , so here it is ......

I used a hunkydory shaped card blank for the base , i used paper from a 12x12 book called the best of K and Company , i love this collection , i was bought this book by a very dear friend of mine and didnt want to use it cos it is so lovely , but i took the plunch gritted my teeth and cut into it to make the mats for this card . All the diecuts were cut on my Cameo , the flowers i made from the scraps of paper that was left , The sentiment is embossed using a Me To You embossing folder and matted onto co-ordinating paper . The topper is a digi (cant remember were i got it ) it was coloured in with Promarkers to go with the papers .... I decorated the middle of the card with the same papers , i printed a sentiment out and die cut it with my Spellbinders , and added some doilies, skelleton leaves , stickles on the flowers and fairies wings  and gem stones . The colours are really soft , and i am very pleased with the way it turned out ......

Cream and Brown

Morning all , well when i got up it was lovely sun shining and birds singing , now it is threatening rain .

well today i have another cream and brown card to show you , i used a cream card blank and added a layer of taupe card that i ran through my Caliber and Mbossability folder , i stamped the image onto cream card then cut that out using a spellbinder shape , then went around the outline of the same shape to make a mat for the image , and inked that in brown to match the image . I added pearls and a ribbon , and went around the edge of the card with 2 different sized pokey tools to make the holes .

The picture doesnt do it justice it lkooks loads better in real life .....

A clean looking card

I have been messing around again this week with just cream on cream and a touch of colour , this card is an a5 size  , i Mbossed the top layer added 2 rows of ruffled cream lace to the edge of a diecut piece of cardstock , the holes from the die have been threaded with brown ribbon and a bow made then added to the bottom of the card , i stamped the greeting then used my spellbinder to cut out the shape and added it to the card with foam pads .... all in all i like this card , and think it looks classy ....

Guest designer cards .......

I made these cards for the GDT spot over at http://www.emmascardsuk.com/p/emmas-crafty-challenge_06.html i was picked as one of the GDT for winning there challenge last month ......

The first card is an Easel based card , all the images and bits and bobs mainly came from the MCS Quintisential cds , there is some punching on the side using the Martha Stewert punch , the flowers and leaves were all cut using Spellbinders and co-ordinated papers . There is just a faint hint of colour running through the birdcage ........

This month its MONOCHROME  so go over and take a look and join in ... The second card is also an Easel card but its shaped , i used the Debbie Moore One Fine Lady cds to make this card , the image is decoupaged , and layered up onto a few co-ordinated papers , the greeting is mounted onto a spellbinder shape , and the flowers and leaves are also cut from Spellbinders , there has been a lot of colour in my cards just lately and it was hard trying to make a card that was all black and white , it took me a few goes to get it right .  But here are the results ....... I would like to thank Emma and the girls  over at Emmas Challenge for picking my card last month i was over the moon .....
